# How to set up a Ubiquiti Lightbeam for Sun Valley Broadband

## Lightbeam Setup Guide 2025

The first step in connecting your lightbeam will be to connect to its wi-fi network, When the lightbeam it first turned on it will begin broadcasting a wi-fi network you can join. First join the network and then go onto a web browser and go to  
http://192.168.172.1

### Initial setup guide

Setup the username and password to be

```
username: admin
password: Zb942gn5
```

Then go into **Wireless** settings  

-   ensure the SSID is set to **Beamspeed**
-   set the **WPA2 Security** to **Enterprise**
-   set WPA2 Password to Gila2481
-   leave WPA2 Anonymous Identify Blank

## upload the configuration file

the next step will be to upload the config file which sets up the networks and configuration of the device.

upload the config file under **System** then down at the bottom click on **Upload Configuration**

Upload the firmware under **System** -> **Upload Firmware**
